Project Leader Electrical Engineering
Job Description
As a Project Leader Electrical Engineering at Evatec, you are responsible for the technical management and coordination of development and customer projects in electrical engineering. Your tasks include creating specifications, analyzing errors, coordinating with electrical partners, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. You work closely with various teams to complete projects on time and within budget.
What you will be doing
- Focus on building internal know-how within the Standardization team
- Responsibility for the business processes of the department
- Actively shaping internal standards and guidelines
- Supporting all product groups in creating specifications, analyzing errors, and other complex requirements
- Participating as a subject matter expert in projects (customer orders, development projects, retrofitting, and expansion of the installed base)
- Estimating feasibility and effort during the project phase and throughout the entire lifecycle of the systems
- Coordinating, monitoring deadlines and budgets, and communicating with our electrical partners, resource management
- Understanding and coordinating the interplay and mutual influences between the disciplines of electrical and PLC (IO lists, etc.)
- Creating risk assessments according to the Machinery Directive and enforcing other relevant safety standards and Evatec standards with our subcontractors
- Participating in product certification (e.g., CE, UL, and Semi standards)
What you should bring
- Completed studies in electrical engineering or a comparable qualification
- Alternatively, vocational training as an automation technician EFZ, electrical planner EFZ, or electrical installer EFZ with further education as a technician HF in electrical/system engineering
- Professional experience as an electrical planner/system or electrical engineer in an industrial environment
- In-depth knowledge of electrical and media schematics for control cabinet and prototype construction, including the creation of parts lists and control cabinet dispositions
- User knowledge in E-CAD systems, preferably EPLAN
- Independent, responsible, and quality-oriented working style
- Communication skills, strong problem-solving competence, and analytical thinking
- Fluent in German and English
