Job Description
As a Purchaser at Evatec, you are responsible for sourcing and procuring materials and services needed for production. You negotiate with suppliers, manage inventory levels, and ensure timely delivery of goods. Additionally, you collaborate with various departments to optimize purchasing strategies and maintain cost efficiency.
What you will be doing
- Global, operational procurement of assigned product groups and indirect needs
- Timely, economical procurement of small series parts
- Overseeing project procurement for assigned projects
- Obtaining and evaluating international offers
- Negotiating prices and managing deadlines
- Finalizing contracts
- Processing order confirmations and managing the "Purchasing" email inbox
- Handling spare parts requests and managing articles
- Supporting SAP inquiries
What you should bring
- Completed technical basic training, ideally with further education in procurement
- Professional experience as an operational purchaser
- Knowledge in SAP S/4 HANA and Kendox
- Competent demeanor towards suppliers and internal departments
- Negotiation skills and assertiveness
- Fluent English skills, as well as good German skills in both spoken and written form
