Andreas Waelti CEO and Co-Founder of Evatec 

Andreas Waelti is Evatec's co-founder and CEO since its foundation in 2004. With a background in mechanical and microsystems engineering and more than 20 years in the thin film industry, he combines deep technical knowledge with strategic leadership. Under his direction, Evatec has expanded its global footprint, strengthened its R&D capabilities and built a reputation for customer-focused innovation. Starting in 2004 with only five people, Andy has led the growth of Evatec into a global company with more than 500 employees. He is deeply involved in shaping Evatec’s long-term vision and culture, with a focus on sustainable growth and technology leadership. You will often find Andy traveling around the world to meet customers and partners in person, listening to their challenges and understanding their future needs.

Dr. Carlo Tosi – Chief Technology Officer at Evatec

Our CTO Dr. Carlo Tosi leads Evatec’s global technology organization, driving innovation strategy and connecting early-stage technology with product development.

With a background in physics and materials science and more than 20 years of international experience, Carlo has held leadership roles in many companies in our industry. His career spans research, product management, production and business, giving him a broad perspective on turning technological innovation into competitive advantage.

As CTO, his responsibilities include technology scouting, development, product and process engineering, project management, software, laboratory operations and business support.

Patric Schoch – Chief Financial Officer at Evatec

Patric Schoch joined Evatec as CFO in 2024, bringing strong international experience in finance and operations. His career includes ten years in Asia, where he gained early leadership responsibility and deep insights into global business practices. Patric also co-founded his own company and served as CFO of a listed corporation for a decade, managing strict compliance requirements and high-pressure environments.

At Evatec, Patric focuses on financial transparency, liquidity management and building a solid framework for sustainable growth. He works closely with the finance team to ensure stability while enabling investment in innovation and strategic projects. His approach combines rigorous financial discipline with a strong commitment to people and teamwork.
